Concept:
During October 2021 I took it upon myself to illustrate and animate a different randomly generated Pokémon each day of the month as a challenge to force myself out my comfort zone, helping develop skills in both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects. A selection of individual illustrations also gained significant traction online leading to them being sold as stickers in local pop-culture conventions!
Inktober Character Illustrations
Here are all 31 of my illustrations for this Inktober project together. Presenting them like this helps showcase the sheer variety in work that needed to be produced in such a short timeframe - I genuinely don't think I could have completed day 31's illustration on day 1 so I can confidently say that this task helped me improve as both an animator and illustrator! I also turned these into art prints which has been very well received thus far!
Extra Character Animations
These weren't part of my Inktober challenge, but I just really enjoy discovering new techniques for creating looping character animations in After Effects so I created these as a set of 3 to test out some newer, more complex ideas!
